    Description

We’re Aurélie and Jean-Luc, a couple living just north of Toulouse, about 30 minutes from the city center. We’re both middle school teachers—Aurélie teaches math, and I (Jean-Luc) teach French.

We’re curious about your way of life, your language, your stories — we’re always happy to learn new things, whether it’s a recipe, a song, or how to say hello in your language.

We’re looking for someone to join us in early August (sometime between August 4 and 17) to share some small home improvement projects: painting, refreshing a few walls, maybe adding some shelves. Nothing technical - just little touches to make our home more pleasant, done together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

What we value most is sharing everyday life: a simple meal, a casual chat, a coffee on the terrace. There’s no rigid schedule or packed agenda here—we go with the flow, move forward together, talk, and learn from one another.

If you'd like to discover a peaceful part of Toulouse away from the busy historical center, enjoy the calm of a bright duplex, and live a simple, warm human experience, you’ll be more than welcome with us.

We live in a two-bedroom duplex apartment (with a living room-kitchen, one bathroom, and a separate toilet). One of the bedrooms is available for our Workaway guest(s).
The apartment is bright and calm, with a small terrace where we love to relax. A washing machine is also available for your use.

Our neighborhood is quiet and residential, with green spaces nearby. Local shops are within walking distance, and public transport makes it easy to reach Toulouse city center in about 30 minutes.

Most meals will be shared. We provide the food and usually do the cooking, but we’re always happy to exchange and try new things together.

  • Help

    Help

We’re looking for a helping hand with:
    - helping us freshen up a few things together (light sanding and painting, nothing technical),
    - small home improvements as a way to learn and share skills together,
    - doing small maintenance tasks depending on what’s needed at the time

All the tasks are simple and done together, step by step - no special skills are needed. We see this more as a way to connect, share tips, and make things more beautiful together than a real renovation.

More than any help, what we truly value is the opportunity to share time, stories, and meals together. We love cultural exchanges, open-minded conversations, and of course, good food. We’d be happy to introduce you to some of our local recipes-and we’d love to discover dishes from your country too. We’ll take care of the groceries, all that’s left is to cook and enjoy the moment together.

Our apartment is located in Borderouge, a pleasant neighborhood in the north of Toulouse. Nearby, you’ll find the Maourine Park—perfect for relaxing or exercising. The metro (line B, Borderouge station) is just a few minutes’ walk away and takes you to the city center in about 15 minutes. Several bus lines also serve the area.

We live a simple and friendly life. We enjoy sharing moments—whether over a meal or a casual activity. We kindly ask our guests to respect the shared spaces, help keep things clean, and participate in basic household chores. Mutual respect and open communication are key to a harmonious stay.

We also share our home with a few animals: a cat named Stavros and two rats, Kari-Kari and Yuki.
