Description
Hi travellers! Next opportunity to stay with us is for a week or a bit longer is now and in April. Claudia and Dirk are born in Germany and have been living in Cairns since the mid 90s. We are keen scuba divers and used to run our own scuba dive travel agency. We are early retirees and very active in our community. We love music (choir singing, guitar), scuba diving, yoga, gym, cycling, short walks in nature.
We are looking for a couple, two friends or a single traveller who help us with some garden and house work . Please get in touch if you are interested!

We both have traveled the world extensively and always enjoyed meeting people from different cultures. Now there's a great opportunity to get people from other cultures to come to our home.
We are passionate about our unique environment and love to spend time in nature.
We are well connected in various community groups in Cairns and happy to share this experience with our guest.

We have occasional odd tasks around the house (spring clean) and in the garden with weeding.

We both used to know Spanish from when we were living in Chile and Cuba in the 80s and 90s, Unfortunately we lost a lot since we haven't practiced. Would be fun to speak a bit of spanish again.
Accommodation
Private house in a beautiful suburb of Cairns.
We have a guest room with double bed and bathroom/WC. Ideal room for 1 or 2 persons.
We provide food for all our guest. Special needs can be managed. We will cook some main meals for everyone and invite our guest to cook as well. For other meals, guest are welcome to use our kitchen and fridge to prepare their own.
What else ...
Mostly we have workaway people staying with us for a week, sometimes a bit longer . Own vehicle would be good as we are about 15 minutes from town and beaches. We do have a bus service to Cairns city. I don't think we need to praise the natural beauty around Cairns:) . You definitely must visit the reef and do a couple of hikes in the rainforest and swim in rainforest creeks.
