Antonio es un gran hombre y anfitrión! Quedamos juntos tres semanas en marzo. A partir del primer momento nos entendemos muy bien, hemos tenido buenas conversaciones y nos convertimos en amigos cercanos :-) . Antonio me contó y enseñó mucho sobre su vida interesante, los costumbres en España y muchas historias graciosas :-).

… read more montañas encima de Lanjarón, un pueblo muy hermoso lleno de cultura, gente simpática y comida tradicional :-). El parque natural de Sierra Nevada alrededor es una maravilla con picos hasta 3400 m, nieve y aguas puras. La finca de Antonio ofrece una buena vista del mar y encima a veces se puede ver la costa de África desde allí! La vida es simple y tranquila, con alojamiento en una casa muy antigua pero cómoda con placas solares y agua muy clara del arroyo.
Un Workaway con Antonio no es mucho trabajo sino más una amistad e intercambio de lenguas, culturas y experiencias 🙂 Se trabaja un poquito en el jardín pero nada complicado y mucho se "puede hacer mañana" 😄
Antonio es un hombre muy curioso y a él le interesa todo de lenguajes, culturas, filosofía y psicología 🙂 Juntos también hemos pasado por días duros en la primera fase del estado de alarma por el corona virus cuando no se podía salir y nadie sabía que iba a pasar. Antonio me hizo sentirme como en mi casa e incluso invitó a mi amigo alemán que estaba en España sólo para que viniera y quedara con nosotros en esta situación difícil.
A fin de cuentas, mi Workaway (que fue el primero) fue una buena experiencia llena de buenos momentos, conversaciones, comidas, cervezas, vistas y senderos 😊 Gracias Antonio! Espero que mantengamos nuestra amistad para todo el futuro 😊. No digo adios sino hasta luego!

Antonio is a perfect host and a very kind man! We spent three weeks together in March. From the first moment we understood each other very well, we had nice conversations and became good friends 🙂. Antonio told me and taught me a lot about his interesting life, Spanish customs, as well as plenty of hilarious stories 😀.
His home is located in the mountains over Lanjarón, a small village in a colorful region called Alpujarra. The village is full of culture, nice people and traditional cuisine. The nature park of Sierra Nevada around is a miracle with peaks up to 3400 m, snow and clear waters. Antonio's cottage offers a marvelous view of the sea and sometimes you can even spot the African coast. The life there is very simple and quiet, with accommodation in an ancient but comfortable enough stone house, solar panels for electricity and clear water from a nearby mountain stream.
The Workaway with Antonio is not so much work but more a friendship and exchange of languages, cultures and experiences. I worked and helped out a little in the garden but nothing complicated and much work can be done "Mañana" 😀.
Antonio is a very curious guy and he is alway interested in languages, cultures, psychology and philosophy 😊 Also I want to mention that we spent together the first very hard days of the state of emergency due to the corona virus crisis. It was not possible to go out and noone knew what would happen next. However, Antonio made me feel like I was at home and also invited my friend who was alone in Spain to come and join us in this situation.
All in all, my Workaway with Antonio (which was my first one) turned out to be a wonderful experience full of nice moments, conversations, tasty food and beers, as well as amazing views and hikes. Thank you Antonio! I hope we maintain our friendship for the days to come! 😊 I don´t say bye but see you later!You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
