Unfortunately we were expecting her and her partner for a specific date as agreed few days in advance. Since we didn't hear from her in the days prior to our meeting we decided to send her a reminder on the same day as her arrival to which they answered telling that they had stopped somewhere else and were not able to come. We have decided to make

I wish her good luck in their futuro volunteerships(Workawayer cancelled last minute / no-show )

If there is somewhere a perfect volunteer, that would be Timo. He is a young man, smart, organised, autonomous and eager to learn new things. He hardly looses patience and he's always open to work any time in the day if there's an urgent need. He's also clean and knows how to cook his own food, so you won't have to worry at all when he will be at

I stayed with Víctor for four weeks during the months of August and September 2024. It was a unique experience to be almost totally isolated in the wild although the tiny village of Àger is quite close to reach by car (around 10 min). The project is mainly elaborated by your host Víctor who is very commited and passionated in the land he owns to

So far, as described, there is no place with roof for you to sleep (except camping tent), so you should be aware of any weather change that might happen during your period of stay. I would recommend to come by car though, since you will be more independent in reaching and getting back to the place - the little train station of Àger is few kilometres far away, in any case Víctor will be so kind to pick and leave you there (besides of taking you to a lot of other beautiful sights in the whole province as a merit for your work!!)
Víctor speaks fluently the languages indicated, we used to communicate entirely in Castilian which was great for my language practice. You will learn a lot of handcraft vocabulary! ;)) If you are interested in learning a bit of Catalan, it is the right place for you, too. The village citizens will be very happy to talk to you.
Working times usually are from 8 am to 1 or 2 pm, depending on the heat. We used to work almost every day. In case you are not fine with that, you need to arrange it with Víctor which will be no problem. He easily adapts to the the volunteers' personal motivation regarding your stay. In any case he will be very happy to have more hands to implement the variety of ideas and plans he has in his mind. You will be assisting him in thinking and realizing the evolution of the project, always double checking every step on the way to that point.
It is very fascinating to see how much you can build and develop in a very short time and recognize also your own advance in using tools and getting along with the still provisional living conditions. Víctor's place is perfect to calm down, enjoy the nature, walks, car rides, swiming in the lakes, rest from the cities and crowds and and and... accompanied by focused work and the the plenty of knowledge you can benefit from him.
I am very grateful for this experience and wish Víctor all the best! I hope I was able to give a good hand (getting better with the time...;))
If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to contact me (in English, German, Spanish).
