Activities i am interested in:
I am hoping to work and travel my way through Canada, driven by my love for nature, meeting new people and hearing different stories.
Description
I am motivated by a desire to explore and understand the world. I've recently finished my university degree and after working in the cultural and media sector for a period of time, I am now ready to challenge myself and focus on exploring the outdoors. I would love to gain more experience in homesteading, ranching, gardening, animal care and nature preservation.
I have experience working with horses, chickens, goats, sheep, rabbits, donkeys, guinea pigs, dogs, cats and would love to learn more! I enjoy gardening, growing food, weeding, reading, hiking, learning about nature, and food preservation.Interests

More details about your skills
I have always had a very hands-on approach and challenged myself to get out of my comfort zone. My favourite WorkAway experience so far has been on the west coast where I took care of horses, chickens, rabbits, and some other animals, gave tours around the farm, did chores around the house and helped wherever necessary.
Back home, I have always worked many different jobs, including administrative jobs, hospitality in a restaurant and cafe, the cultural sector organising educational events, project coordination and back office administration at a start-up and research jobs at an environmental NGO. On the side, I've always valued being active and so volunteered at the local stables for over a year where I was solely responsible for feeding all of the horses, putting them out to pasture, and organising the workflow to ensure that all the daily tasks were completed. Here, I supervised children as they prepared for their lessons, saddled the horses, and helped clean the stables. This was, by far, one of the most gratifying jobs ever. In my spare time I also like to write columns and hike.Age

What else ...
Besides writing, usually about cultural and urban observations, I am also an avid reader and try to beat my reading goals every year.
