Hello! I’m a retired Informatics project manager with over 30 years of experience in a global organization based in Switzerland. Now, as a pensioner, my passion for travel has led me to Workaway. My daughter’s enthusiastic stories about her own Workaway adventures inspired me to embark on this journey.

I split my time between Germany and South Africa. Johannesburg, a city I appreciate, is my second home base. I own a small property there and have a car, which gives me the flexibility to explore Workaway opportunities throughout Southern Africa.

My skills and interests are
- Management and Organizational Skills: My professional background equips me with strong management and organizational abilities.

- IT skills: My technical skills extend to both Windows PCs and Apple devices. Additionally, I’m well-versed in computer networks.

- Practical Handyman: I’m hands-on and enjoy fixing and repairing things around my own home.

My hobbies are:
- Art and Culture: I'm passionate about exploring art galleries, and visiting museums.
- Nature Lover: Spending time outdoors, especially hiking, rejuvenates me.
- Family Dog: I also care deeply for our family dog.

Why Workaway?: Combining travel with meaningful experiences as a Workaway volunteer feels like the perfect blend. I’m eager to contribute my skills, learn from diverse cultures, and make lasting connections. My initial Workaway experience in Zambia in early 2024 strengthened my desire to pursue more opportunities.

PS: In the mean time I helped run a camp in Nata, Botswana, alongside other Workawayers while the owner was away. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insights into the tourism sector.
