Description
Seeing the world and spending time in nature motivates me and brings me happiness! As well as connecting with other people. I love hiking, wildlife, scuba diving, and food. I wouldn't say I'm an adrenaline junkie but I love to explore and I seek opportunities to find myself at the edge of my comfort zone. I strive to be adventurous and always optimistic.
I've been traveling for a few months and now am ready to slow down, immerse myself more and give back! I taught high school biology & environmental science before leaving home and now am also certified to teach English as a second language. I also am always interested in learning about local ecology and wildlife, sustainable living practices, and agriculture and traditional plant uses. I'm not great at picking up new languages but I like to try my best!Interests

More details about your skills
I'm a high school biology teacher (BS degree in Biology and MS degree in Education) and certified TEFL teacher. I am also a native English speaker from the USA. I have over 5 years of experience teaching 11-18 year-olds as well as adults. I haven't taught younger students yet but am excited for the opportunity! I could teach basic science, biology and life science, environmental science and English.
I have done a lot of vegetable gardening at home and love sowing seeds and caring for plants. I could help out growing an preparing food. I also can teach about the basics of gardening.
As a teacher (and extrovert) I am comfortable with speaking to and organizing groups, sharing information with community members/ travelers/ customers/ guests. And I bring good, upbeat energy!
I used to work at a cat hospital, volunteer at an animal shelter and have had cats and dogs and a rabbit and a rat as pets so I can help care for animals (I was studying to go to veterinary school at one point in my life!)
I can help teach basic computer skills, social media skills. I'm no audio engineer but I currently have a podcast and I was president of a college radio station back in the day!
I have my PADI Open Water SCUBA diving certification with 26 dives logged
I'm also a quick and enthusiastic learner!Age
