Description
Hi! I‘m Annabelle. I am a calm, open-minded and reliable person. Somehow the word people love to describe me with is “diligent“; I guess they want to say that I work hard at whatever I set my mind on. It‘s true that I‘m very eager to learn, in all different parts of life, and have been since childhood.
I love nature, I really do. And I spend a lot of my spare time hiking - “a lot of time“ not just because I enjoy walking so much, but also because I get caught up in the sight of the little beetle on the sidewalk and the rainbow colors of the spiderweb in the grass, or the sound of a buzzard flying overhead. Meaning, I walk, and stop, inspect, and walk, and stop, and listen. That‘s me.
Meditation and mindfulness are very important to me; I meditate almost every day. I practice Iyengar yoga, and I am basically obsessed with bouldering (would love to learn rock climbing, too). Other than that, I enjoy reading, drinking tea, and cooking vegan food. Actually, I’m pretty good at the latter - my relatives keep telling me I should open a vegan restaurant… Not a café, though. My baking… isn‘t the best.Interests

More details about your skills
I have been able to gain some experience in the following fields of work.
Hospitality sector:
I have worked in a small, four-star hotel and several hostels for a total of 10 months, where I was responsible for bookings and check-ins, taking care of the guests (e.g. guiding them on hikes), cleaning and room service, helping in the kitchen (cooking, waitressing), as well as managing the other volunteers.
English Teaching:
I have volunteered at a language café and an after-school English club, where I taught students ranging from primary school ages to adults.
Child care and housework:
I worked as an Au Pair for three months, which means I took care of the children as a babysitter and helped the family with housework.
Non-governmental organization:
I have done an internship at a human rights NGO in South Korea. My work mostly focused on public outreach, especially managing their social media and creating content.Age

What else ...
P.S.: I may be short, but I don‘t shy away from physically challenging work - I don‘t mind getting sweaty or muddy. So feel free to send me chopping wood, build a house, or anything of that sort. At a mimimum, it’ll maintain my strength for climbing, and probably it‘ll even be fun ;)

Annabelle is the second german girl who stayed with me in our English club. She stayed with me for 2 weeks.
She is really kind, warm and tender. She helped to talk to children and English teachers in our community. We were really lucky to meet her here. We cooked, visited and did a lot of thing together. The children love her… read more
I‘m so grateful I got to live with you and your daughter, even if it was for too short of a time (how we kept regretting, day after day).
Na Hang is a quiet and calm town, but its people are some of the friendliest I have ever met, and I was actually so surprised about how welcoming everyone was. Not even did Sao let me be part of the… read more
