My workaway experience here was beyond expectations. I came to Peru, to implement an internship for my university as an education student, and left Peru feeling like home, heart full and as part of a beautiful community <3
I stayed here for bit more than two months and I fell in love with the place and the kids. I was volunteering as a
… read more companion, helping out, guiding the kids and giving workshops at the school. I also helped a bit in the garden. It was truly a pleasure to be able to be part of this community and help an all ways possible. I was working from Tuesday to Friday. The ”work” didn't really feel like work as the days were full of joy and I felt really appreciated and my work valued.
All the kids and families welcomed me into the community with open arms and hearts which made me feel like home here almost immediately. Patricia and Franco were always helping and taking care that everything was fine and I was good. Together with other parents they have created a beautiful family and school which really is a special place for everyone who goes to this place.
During my time here I stayed at the school, sleeping in a tent. I was very comfortable there and the place had all I needed: kitchen, shower, pool, fruit trees, birds and nature all around! It was beautiful to live in a place where I could pick fresh mangoes and bananas for breakfast while watching colibries flying by. The place has a beautiful energy and was often filled up with music, laughs and a smell of palo santo.
Being part of this place made my trip to Peru unforgettable. I am truly grateful to have been able to do my internship in a beautiful school like this one. I learned a lot about education and different ways of teaching and educating. I connected with many beautiful souls and created beautiful relationships with the kids.
It wasn't easy to leave Peru but I am sure that one day I will be back to visit this place and to see the kids and families again! I am forever grateful for this experience and would recommend this workaway experience to anyone who feels called to do something meaningful, learn something new, be with beautiful kids, or to connect with themselves, with like-minded people and nature.

Mi experiencia de Workaway en aqui superó todas las expectativas. Vine a Perú, para realizar una pasantía de mi universidad como estudiante de educación, y me fui de Perú sintiéndome como en casa, con el corazón lleno y siendo parte de una comunidad hermosa. <3
Me quedé en aqui un poco más de dos meses y me enamoré del lugar y de los niños. Estuve como voluntaria acompañando, ayudando, guiando a los niños y dando talleres en la escuela. También ayudé un poco en el huerto. Fue realmente un placer poder ser parte de esta comunidad y ayudar en todo lo posible. Trabajaba de martes a viernes. El “trabajo” en realidad no se sentía como trabajo, ya que los días estaban llenos de alegría y me sentía muy valorada.
Todos los niños y familias me recibieron en la comunidad con los brazos y el corazón abiertos, lo cual me hizo sentir como en casa en aqui casi de inmediato. Patricia y Franco siempre estaban ayudando y asegurándose de que todo estuviera bien y que yo estuviera bien. Han creado una familia y una escuela hermosas, que realmente es un lugar especial para todos los que van aqui.
Durante mi tiempo en aqui me quedé en la escuela, durmiendo en una carpa. Estuve muy cómoda allí y el lugar tenía todo lo que necesitaba: cocina, ducha, piscina, árboles frutales, aves y naturaleza por todas partes. ¡Fue hermoso vivir en un lugar donde podía recoger mangos y plátanos frescos para el desayuno mientras veía colibríes volar! El lugar tiene una energía hermosa y a menudo estaba lleno de música, risas y el aroma del palo santo.
Ser parte de este lugar hizo que mi viaje a Perú fuera inolvidable. Estoy verdaderamente agradecida de haber podido hacer mi pasantía en una escuela tan hermosa como este lugar. Aprendí mucho sobre educación y diferentes formas de enseñar y educar. Conecté con muchas almas hermosas y creé relaciones muy lindas con los niños.
No fue fácil dejar Peru, pero estoy segura de que algún día volveré a visitar este lugar y a ver a los niños y a las familias nuevamente. Estoy eternamente agradecida por esta experiencia y recomendaría esta experiencia de Workaway a cualquiera que sienta el llamado de hacer algo significativo, aprender algo nuevo, estar con niños hermosos o conectarse consigo mismo, con personas afines y con la naturaleza.
