Hello!

I’m originally from a small town just outside of Chicago, surrounded by farmland and open skies. I recently completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany, and have been working as an espresso machine technician while completing my coursework. Actually, I've been working in specialty coffee for over 4 years in total and am fascinated by the entire field, from farm to cup. If you like coffee, I'm happy to share that passion.

Being outdoors, rain or shine, has always been a grounding part of my life. I find peace in tending gardens, getting my hands in the soil, and working on projects that require both patience and grit. Especially now, with my B.S. in Botany, I'm hoping to put some of my theoretical knowledge to practice. I'm interested in sustainable agriculture, nature conservation, and would love to get more involved in permaculture initiatives.

I'm a curious person who enjoys learning new skills, diving into challenging work, and collaborating with others. I find joy in purpose-driven projects and believe in staying calm, open-minded, and finding humor, even in tough situations.

If you’re into outdoor adventures like mountain biking, surfing, kayaking, or skateboarding, I'm sure we'll get along well. I also love making and sharing music, though I'm a bit shy at first (and probably rusty!) Music, like nature, creates space for connection and exploration, and I’m always happy to talk about favorite artists or jam with others.

I am an avid gardener and have worked on a few farms around the U.S. Before traveling my job was taking care of plants at a tropical conservatory. I also have a community garden in my home town, which I have been working on for 4 years! It has been an exciting journey for me, as I've learned so much through trial and error. Being able to help feed my community has been a rewarding task.
Housekeeping and maintenance is also something I have experience with. I've done this for friends because it's something I genuinely enjoy and I've worked as an independent contractor to maintain an apartment building. My experience includes simple home repairs as well; such as replacing boards on a deck/porch, painting, repairing drywall, and cement work.
I also enjoy cooking. I feel competent in a kitchen and would be happy to brush up on my technique :)

The village is truly a special place. The scenery in this area has such great character; from the river running just near the garden, to the mountain peaks covered in fog. I enjoyed the varied weather. On hot sunny days, a dip in the river is perfect.
