  • Description

    Hi there, friends!

Thank you for checking out my profile. Let me tell you a little bit about myself!

My name is Bart, I’m 22 years old, and I’m from the Netherlands. I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in Architecture at the Technical University of Delft. Over the years, I’ve gained experience in construction, architecture, and hospitality, which has shaped me into a hardworking, hands-on, and creative problem solver.

I’m bilingual in Dutch and English and can speak French at an intermediate level, thanks to my experience working in French hospitality. Growing up near the German border has also given me a basic understanding of German.

I’m passionate about architecture, extreme sports, and cultural exchange, and I love combining these interests through travel. Over the past few years, I’ve explored places like Pakistan, Australia, Nepal, Vietnam, Morocco, and more—whether for holiday trips, study exchanges, or architecture projects.

As an architecture student, I bring knowledge of building design and construction. I’ve also gained hands-on experience building a chalet in France and restoring an old French farm. If you need help with architectural plans, design, or construction, I’d be happy to lend a hand! My graphic design skills are another strength, so I can assist with creating promotional materials or event designs.

In addition, I have professional hospitality experience from my gap year, where I worked at a ski resort in France (Grand Massif). There, I gained valuable skills as a waiter, barman, and dishwasher. I’ve also volunteered as a children’s activity leader and worked as a cleaner in a bed and breakfast.

I hope this gives you a good idea of who I am! If my profile interests you, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d love to connect and help out.

    All the best,
    Bart

  • More details about your skills

My educational background is in architecture, engineering and geology. I did my bachelor in architecture at TU Delft and did a minor in Geology and Engineering at the university of Melbourne.
Great skills in visualization with hand as well as digital.

I grew up in a house on the countryside where we always had projects going. From building a nice cabin, working the vegetable garden to feeding the chickens. So a DIY project is definetely not something I shy away from.

I have some experience in sales, I used to work in an antiques wholesale. I also have experience in tutoring English, art history, physics and visualisation software.
In delft I lived in a house of 16 students for 3 years. We always ate together so cooking for big group is nothing new to me.

    Skills in short:
    -designing, engineering
    -DIY
    -tutoring
    -catering
