Description
Hello!
My name is Britta and I originally come from the beautiful Blackforest area of Germany. In the last few years, I have been out a lot and have travelled through different cities and countries (e.g. India, Namibia, and Australia). For nearly two years now, I’ve been living in Auckland, where I’m studying Veterinary Nursing, which I absolutely love! I really enjoyed working with animals. I am an open-minded, thoughtful and easy-going nature lover who likes to travel, be outdoors, hike and get to know new people. Books, movies, theatre, circus and photography are also my big passion.
My life changed completely during my workaway year in Mexico in a dog rescue. I saved a tiny, critically sick puppy from an abandoned farm in the jungle. We mastered a very challenging recovery together, and it was the start of a beautiful friendship. I adopted this adorable and super-friendly pumpkin named Izzie (Isobel Katherine Stevens long for all the Grey's Anatomy lovers out there), and she became my travel buddy.
Obviously, my passion is to travel the world :) I love camping, street eating, good books and Thai food. My dream is to explore as many bits and parts of the world as possible with my little Izzie in a camper.
I'm looking forward to meeting you

More details about your skills
After I finished my studies in geoecology I started traveling through the world.
Last year I lived in New Zealand and worked on diary farms. I was a farm Assistent, milked over 600 cows and did general farm work. The other time I worked on a diary goat farm where I was responsible for the kid goats. Due to my study I have been involved in various conservation projects abroad. During my Gap Year in Australia I participated in volunteer eco projects, where I got involved in projects that included re-cultivation, weed and pest control, fencing and seed collection. I also worked at a family farm with cows and horses. I completed an internship as a research assistant in Windhoek, Namibia. I was responsible for collation and capturing of data relating to rapid biodiversity assessment.Age
