Description
Hey I’m Caitlin I’m from the beautiful Scotland but spend most of my time travelling, I have been fortunate enough to live and work in four different countries mainly through hospitality but I have recently passed my tefl course which included in person lessons for local Costa Ricans where I completed the course which has sparked a new passion for teaching English. I have seen how much learning a new language can mean to people and would love more opportunities to pass this on to people around the world. I have had so many positive experiences travelling and I would love to help other people share this experience by learning a language which can help people gain access to other countries. I love meeting new people from other cultures and I feel like I am constantly learning from others which I want to continue.

More details about your skills
I started working away when I was 19 with the company camp America, I worked as a life guard and swim teacher with URJ camp Coleman in Georgia in the United States. I worked with children from ages 5 to 18 a lot of whom were away from home for the first time, I love helping create a warm environment where people feel comfortable to be themselves and ask for help.
I moved into the hospitality sector when I worked in val disere, a ski resort in the French alps. While I’m this role I worked as a hostess where my job was to greet guests and assure everyone was having the best experience possible. I loved this role as I got to meet people from all over the world from different ages and backgrounds and was able to help other people meet each other and create new memories. I loved working in hospitality and then went on to work in Marbella in Spain in the same role along with waitressing and bar tending.
I continued to work in the hospitality industry in Australia and also volunteered in hostels for work for accommodation where I helped with housekeeping, working in hostels was an amazing opportunity to meet likeminded people and another opportunity to learn from new cultures from all over the world.
My latest adventure was through South America where I also completed my tefl course in Costa Rica, I completely fell in love with teaching English as I was able to see how much it means to people when I was able to teach free English classes to locals. Since I have returned home I have been volunteering teach English with the Marie trust which provides English classes for people who are making Scotland their new home.Age
