Hello.
We’re Cameron & Katie.

A couple from West Yorkshire, England, currently travelling Asia and Australia.
After becoming friends with a lovely Australian couple, and them learning about us, our outdoor lifestyles and our occupations back home, they didn’t hesitate in informing us about this website and this opportunity throughout Australia volunteering on home stays, learning about farming practices and/or permaculture on small farms/homesteads.
Back home, we each have a family spaniel meaning we have no choice but to follow an active lifestyle. We also have a small allotment in our small community village which we started a couple years ago. We’re very new to it but are absolutely obsessed with learning new things around farming, sustainability and permaculture.

Katie and I have both worked in the animal care field for the past 10 years. We’ve worked our way up from cleaning kennels to working for the best animal welfare charities in the UK. We are currently on a sabbatical from our jobs and are excited to gain more experience overseas to add to our CV. Throughout Asia we have volunteered at multiple animal rescues and also hope to do this during our time in Australia, too. We’re also incredibly excited at the idea of seeing the real, everyday, normal Australia whilst volunteering at your property.

Both excellent with animals. We have both worked in animal welfare for the past 10 years with an array of animals. Dogs, cats, smalls, birds.
Both work on our allotment regularly, growing our own produce. Currently learning and trying growing with dig and no dog methods (although the dogs have trouble understanding this sometimes) We’re handy with tools but both eager to learn more about this field.
Cameron travelled New Zealand in his early 20’s and worked on several small farms working with sheep, cows and birds.
