"The world is your oyster." - William Shakespeare

This is one of my favourite quotes; it ultimately motivates me to step out of my comfort zone and explore new things as the opportunity comes my way. People, culture, language, nature, the ocean and food is my main source of dopamine and adrenaline, but adventure is the key!

I am definitely an adventurer by nature. Among my friends and other loved ones I am seen as quite the free-spirit, not because I am brave or courageous, but rather because I do not let fear of the unknown limit me. I believe it is good to discover new things, to never keep yourself in your comfort zone, and to never be content with the amount of knowledge or experience you have. The world is your oyster, so go and discover what this means in every area of your life! Travelling helps me to know myself, my strengths and weaknesses, my hopes and dreams, my passions and to ultimately find and connect with my type of humans.

I love the beautiful creation and I believe in its Creator. I want to discover everything, from nature to city. Happiness is a choice, joy can only be found internally, and life has meaning just as much as you give it meaning. Life doesn't always work out the way we want it to, and life isn't always easy because challenges will come, but know where your strength is found, and enjoy the roller coaster ride.

I worked in the Tourism and Hospitality industry for three years while completing my teaching degree in English and Social Sciences. I have been working as an English teacher for 6 years now around the world. In an imaginary life, I am a secret archaeologist and translator of ancient languages (LOL just imaginary though), while this is a huge hobby and interest of mine it seems that my life's direction is constantly taking me elsewhere and so I dream about having my own cafe and hostel one day where I can give like-minded humans the opportunity to just be what they are and dream what they dream. There are many things I don't know about myself and life yet, and I'm trying my best to figure it out without intentionally figuring it out. I am a deep person and I crave connection, and I have a lot of love to give.

South Africans are loads of fun and very unique, because we have such a variety of people and culture in our country which makes me super adaptable to other cultures. I will gladly introduce our music, dances, languages and foods to my future travel hosts and friends. I am also happy to share experiences from other countries.

    Bon Voyage!

  • More details about your skills

I am a born teacher (qualified too), and I am skilled in teaching languages/history with cultural inclusivity. I love languages, history and archaeology as well and I will gladly pass on the knowledge that I do possess in those subject areas, especially about Old Testament/Hebrew studies. The earth and its ground fascinates me, and the way people live (ancient and current) fascinates me as well. I believe in working hard and giving my best in everything that I do, I love working with people and animals, especially if it allows me to be outside and do something exciting. I enjoy being intellectually challenged. I have experience in hotel management and catering, as well as good service/social skills. I have traveled quite a bit, alone, I am adaptable and street wise. I have some sport/active skills, I can teach people how to skateboard, surf, hike etc. and I'm a little bit of a wellness freak. Ultimately just enjoy life with a positive and mindful outlook.
