Description

Hi! We’re Dante and Julia — a couple from England and Austria, both raised in small rural farming communities where hard work, self-sufficiency, and respect for the land were part of daily life.

Dante (33) has been working and traveling around the world for the past 11 years, visiting over 63 countries. Much of that time has been spent working as a chef, using food as a way to connect with people and cultures across the globe. Julia also shares a strong culinary background, and together we’ve worked in kitchens ranging from farm-to-table restaurants to open-fire camp cooking setups. Food is our passion, and we love using it to bring people together.

We’re currently traveling from Canada down through the U.S. and into Baja, Mexico in our trusty micro 4x4 campervan, "Disco", and are looking for meaningful help exchanges along the way.

We’re both hands-on, down-to-earth, and always up for a challenge. We have experience in a wide variety of tasks — from hospitality and housekeeping to gardening, animal care, and practical DIY projects. While not a trained carpenter, Dante is very handy and has completed personal projects such as building wooden garages entirely from reclaimed materials. He also brings experience in vegetable growing, beekeeping, and home brewing from his family’s hobby farm in the UK.

We’ve had successful help exchanges in New Zealand, Europe, and South America, and are always open to new experiences and opportunities to learn.
