  • Description

Hey^^! On the profile pic that’s me (left) and Johnny the donkey (right), we’re good friends:))

I love being outdoors, whether it’s walking, running, cycling, hiking, backpacking, camping, or even just reading outside in a hammock or in the grass. I also love climbing/bouldering, dancing (mostly folk dance) and archery. My favorite activity might be walking -especially walking slowly. Slow living, or "vita lenta" is something I truly value. It’s a lifestyle I’m sure a lot of workawayers appreciate, it is about life choices and a mindset where we choose not to rush and be greedy but instead enjoy the simplicity of life.

I graduated as a computer scientist in 2024 and have some experience in the field, but now I really want to have a break and just travel, simply enjoy life and meet people who live by meaningful values. I've spent time living and traveling in different countries, doing all kinds of work along the way. I like to change my lifestyle from time to time, as it helps me rediscover myself each time.

Growing up on a small farm taught me how to understand and intuitively speak the language of animals (dogs, cats, lambs, horses). I’ve trained dogs and rescued cats, and I can say that earning an animal’s trust is a truly beautiful experience. So caring for animals has become an important part of my life.

I enjoy making/having friends in different countries and staying connected with fellow travelers. And Workaway is such a cool and meaningful way to do it: helping each other and doing adventures together^^ Otherwise, I'm an introvert so I need time to recharge from time to time -being in my own company, reading, meditating etc. That’s just how it is, but I think there’s a balance to it; we need to spend quality time with ourselves in order to truly enjoy quality time with others

More details about my language interests
My first language is Hungarian which is considered a unique language. If someone is interested learning it for some reason I can help of course. I've been traveling a lot recently and worked at several jobs in international teams and I had to use English daily, so I consider myself fluent. However, English is still my second language so I need to keep practicing it, and you're welcome to practice with me. I'd like to learn Spanish as well. I use Duolingo ("Yo leo un libro en la biblioteca" - this is my current level of Spanish lol)

  • More details about your skills

I'm a computer scientist and I have some experience with tech (although I just graduated). I worked as an intern at a small web dev company in Budapest (2023), I also worked as a waiter before as summer job in Cyprus (2022).

Growing up in a rural area, I learned how to do things by myself and how to be self-sufficient. I’ve gained experience in gardening and caring for animals: working in the garden and on the fields, making hay, operating tractors, feeding animals. I truly love animals and have worked closely with dogs, cats, horses, lambs, and chickens. And as I mentioned earlier, I love walking - taking the dogs for a 10km walk, in rain or in snow, is no problem for me. I am fit, handy and healthy and I'm grateful for it; that's why I think that I can be a good helper rather than a burden as a guest.

I also enjoy woodworking and DIY projects as well, though I’m not a professional. I’ve built a lot of things like fences, dog houses, gates, balcony, barn doors, shelves and wardrobe. I only had hobby non-industrial tools, but I'd love to learn to use and even buy professional tools one day.

I can drive a tractor + trailer combo (max 6 wheels) in reverse:)). I can use a chainsaw safely.

Recently in 2025, I've worked with 40 sled dogs, learned how to lay a new lawn, build a deck, and install stone paving.

I can make sprouts and pancakes :))
