Hello, my name is Ellie from England! I am from a place called Kent (the garden of England!) and only an hour from London where I worked for 6 years. Last September I quit my corporate 9-5 office job in pursuit of learning more about myself and the world around me. I have since been travelling around the world to places like South East Asia, Australia and Europe, and I now feel ready to start giving back to communities and people and seeing how I can make a positive impact in the world. I am an outgoing, glass half full type of person and am always open to learning new skills and challenging myself. I am currently on a workaway in Sicily where I am helping out at an animal shelter, looking after the animals on a daily basis ranging from dogs to classic farm animals! I am loving learning how to work with different animals and getting to know them, as well as being immersed in nature.

Having always worked in the corporate world, I have developed very personable and professional skills which have been able to help me in my general life. Such as confidence to speak to anyone and everyone, team work and organisation skills. Aside from these ‘skills’, I would say I am a very genuine and kind person that is adaptable in any situation. I am the sort of person you would want around when the going gets tough and the tough gets going! I guess these things are what is innate in me to prefer to spend my weekends helping my grandad with chores around the house, walking my dog spending time in nature or helping my Mum cooking a hearty dinner for my family.

I am always up for fun, whether that is anything active to a game of chess! I love to do yoga when I can, quiet my mind on a paddle board or run along a beach in my spare time.
