Hello!
We are Flavia (25) and David (26), a couple from switzerland. Some months ago, we decided to quit our jobs to travel through eastern and southeastern europe to learn more about its culture and history, as well as to work while travelling.

About David:
I grew up in rural switzerland not too far from Bern. After finishing school, I did an aprentiship as an electrician and worked on the job for three years more. After this, I went to university to study electrical engineering in part time, while working for a industrial company. After graduating, i worked as an engineer, developing chargers for electric vehicles.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, cooking, sports, board games and volunteneering. I am especially interested in history, foreign cultures, technology, philosophy and politics.

About Flavia:
I grew up in a town surrounded by mountains in south east Switzerland. After finishing high school I moved to Zurich, where I studied tourism and lived for four years. For the last year I worked in a bus travel company in marketing. I love travelling and getting to know other cultures. I already did some workawaying five years ago, as I was working on a small farm in Wales and a bigger sheep farm in New Zealand. Both were very interesting experiences and I appreciated getting to know the country and the locals besides all the touristy attractions.
My hobbies include reading, spending time with my friends and at the moment writing a little blog about our travels. I also have experience with childern and some outdoor and activity planning skills, as I was many years part of Jungwacht Blauring (a youth association, kind of like the scouts).

Flavia and I spent a week in the wonderful house of Kiko and Niki, and it was wonderful! We helped at the construction of their new house, and communication was always easy, and Kiko is a motivating guy with a positive mindset. It was a real pleasure to host David & Flavia. They stayed for a 2 weeks and it was amazing. They were polite, punctual, responsible and good communicators. We had a wonderful time during our two weeks stay at Emines farm. The work was interesting, from collecting branches of the olive trees, fixing holes in the fence for wild pig protection, field work, weeding and fixing the road, to many small tasks that just needed to be done.
