My sister (Grace) and I (Joel) are heading out into the beauty of a European summer to see the world, meet people and make memories. We want to observe and partake in the curiosities of each new culture. For us, the Workaway experience looks like getting immersed into the culture and feel of each new region we find ourselves in. Having the opportunity to work under a different sky with different, to learn new recipes and food secrets to eventually take home, this is the motivation here.

Languages are one thing, learning is however where my passion lies. I learn all the time, i find i must develop my own methods for understanding, this makes me very aware of the needs of those that are not picking up a topic with ease. I am a pro at helping those that are perhaps needing the little bit more attention on a subject and are having a hard time clicking with the material.

We both have experience in the food industry from bartending, waiting tables, making and serving food. That is to say we are comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Asides from that we bring experience from having grown up on a farm, this means caring for animals both pets and farm animals. We come with a hard-earned mentality of sensibleness when it comes to achieving our goals, common-sense is common where we come from. I (Joel) have also enjoyed working with my hands for much of my life from building sites, brick/block-laying and landscaping. We are not coming to run the show, we are coming to be an essential part of the solution within the current working approach.

I (Joel) am very outdoresy, love getting in nature whether that is rock climbing, diving, and everything in between. Grace loves peace and tranquility, the mighty power of a a thunderstorm or the crash of a powerful wave, these raw feats of nature are what light her eyes. We come from a large family of 6 siblings so naturally fit in rather well with others, we each love to play games like board games and are always keen to pick up new ones that we don"t know and to teach some that we do know.

We each like to cook are take pride in making healthy and tasty food for ourselves and those under our care.
