  • Description

Hello, my name is Ilaria and I'm from Italy.
I'm now living in Germany working for a corporate but two months ago I decided to give up on my permanent contract and change my life. In a month I will be leaving Germany and start a master in HR in Italy, which will be in the weekend online, so with free time during the week.
I have been working in fashion, specifically in the business development area for years but now I want give a new purpose to my life. During my years in Germany I had the opportunity to be a volunteer in a Women's Refugee program and it was one of the best experiences in my life.
My main goal is one day to work for a no profit. I decided that I want to try this path and I'm really committed to it, that's why before I finish my master I would like to do an experience as volunteer.

  • More details about your skills

My first language is Italian and I have C1 level in English.
I have a basic knowledge of Spanish, and I aim to speak it properly as I understand it quite well.
The skills I have developed through my education and professional experiences are many and transversal.
At first, I studied art and design and worked in fashion companies in the creative department.
During these years (2015-2020) I learned: pattern making, sewing, and working with Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop. I have learned the real meaning of problem-solving as these industries are demanding and don't accept the world as "impossible".
After COVID, without a job, I decided to enroll in a master's in management at Rome Business School. I worked as a merchandiser taking care of the growth of the business, specifically in the marketing and sales department. This was a big challenge for me, coming from the creative department, I learned how to work with business tools and understand what comes after the creation part to make the products ready for the market. So, on top I learned how to use all Microsoft and SAP tools, how to manage a project, how to communicate, to have lateral thinking. Since I moved to Germany, I have been working for a corporation which has been helpful to learn how to work with different cultures. Last year I also had the opportunity to join a Women's Refugee program and helped a Woman from Ukraine to integrate into the community and find a job (building a cv, cover letter, Linkedin profile and practice for interviews).
During all these years I lived in different cities in Europe: Brighton, Rome, Milan, Antwerp, Amsterdam, and Nuremberg.
I'm not scared of challenges, and I'm used to meet always new people and adapting to new environments. I have three younger brothers, so I gained lot of patience with kids, and also did after-school teaching to elementary school kids while I was studying.
