Hi world of workaway! We are Sophie and Isabel, two young friends who want to discover the world together! We are 23 yo and we’re from Italy, in particular from the region of Valle D'Aosta, a place surrounded by mountains with a town rich in history! Let's start to describe ourselves separately!

I am Isabel, I’m 23 years old and, since I’ve always lived in a magical and natural place as Aosta Valley my relationship with nature is therefore very strong, I love it deeply and respect it, in fact 3 years and a half that I decided to change my diet, vegetarian but also removing many dairy products, and my way of buying, Trying to bring awareness within myself and those around me.
I’m a lover of animals, plants, stones and love to be among people!
I am deepening my spiritual side, studying yoga, reiki (of which I am a qualified first level operator) and aikido (green belt), all this keeping alive my passion for dance and music. I am convinced that we are not just body and it is essential to find the balance with our inner world.
I am very curious, willing and hungry for life!
I am looking for my way, for this reason I would like to feed myself as much as possible of experiences that allow me to know myself as much as possible and that help me to understand the right direction to take, but also to know new cultures, new ways of thinking to broaden my horizons and open my mind more!
I hope you can help me with this!
I speak Italian, English and French fluently and am learning Spanish, but I would like to be able to practice it more!

I'm Sophie, I'm 23 years old. Even if I have Italian origin I like to call myself ‘cosmopolitan’. In fact, my curiosity about other cultures, places and people has always been a fire that warmed my soul and guided me towards many choices. Like so many children, I have always dreamed of discovering the world with the aim of discovering myself but also of being socially and humanly useful to those I meet on my path. That's why I decided to apply for Workaway cause I think it is the perfect place to combine these two features.
I love doing sports, especially activities linked to nature: climbing, trekking, skiing and ice skating. I’d love to share these passions with people!
I consider myself a very curious, respectful, humble and generous person.

More details about my language interests
We are interested in learning Spanish better, as we are studying it but do not have the opportunity to practice it daily. Surely traveling abroad is also very useful to improve your English, a language that we always tend to improve. However, English, along with French, are two languages that we can also transmit by teaching (especially the basics since we are not language teachers!)

More details about your skills

Great adaptability, initiative, team spirit, resourcefulness and commitment to try new activities are some skills that we both have developed thanks to an educational and training course that has allowed us to expand our borders. The school choices and out-of-school activities were very helpful. We both always did sport (sophie skiing and figure skating and Isabel aikido) and we both got very close to dance, especially hip hop, thanks to which we met. We both had the opportunity and the possibility to have long-term experiences abroad, which helped a lot in strengthening our spirit of adaptation and curiosity.
Our educational path was very similar. We both studied at the high school of human sciences which allowed us to have good sociological, pedagogical and anthropological knowledge that we also cultivated later on in terms of studies and personal path. Sophie continued on this path by attending the university’s faculty of Economics, Development and International Cooperation, an interdisciplinary course that combines sociology, anthropology, economics and political science with a precise view on sustainability. Isabel also continued on this line by starting a university course in Cultural Mediation.
In the years between jobs we also had the opportunity to be in contact with children, both in schools and as babysitters and animators. We can therefore say that we have also acquired the ability to be with children who, moreover, we love. As we love all our four-legged friends (and not only). Isabel in particular did two years of volunteering at the kennel, acquiring, besides a great love, also the ability to manage animals.
Isabel, also studied reiki and yoga, which is very passionate about, skills that she would like to use in a perspective of sharing!

Grande adattabilità, presa di iniziativa, spirito di squadra, intraprendenza e impegno nel cimentarsi in attività nuove sono alcune skills che entrambe abbiamo sviluppato sicuramente grazie ad un percorso educativo e formativo che ci ha permesso di ampliare i nostri confini. Le scelte scolastiche e le attività extrascolastiche sono state di grande aiuto. Entrambe abbiamo sempre fatto sport (sophie sci e pattinaggio artistico e Isabel aikido) e ci siamo entrambe avvicinate molto alla danza, in particolare hip hop, grazie alla quale ci siamo conosciute. Inoltre, abbiamo avuto entrambe l'opportunità e la possibilità di fare esperienze prolungate all'estero, il che ha contribuito molto a consolidare il nostro spirito di adattamento e la nostra curiosità.
Il nostro percorso educativo è stato molto simile. Entrambe abbiamo studiato al liceo delle scienze umane che ci ha permesso di avere delle buone conoscenze sociologiche, pedagogiche e antropologiche che abbiamo anche coltivato successivamente sia a livello di studi sia a livello di percorso personale. Sophie ha continuato su questa strada frequentando la facoltà universitaria di Economia dello Sviluppo e Cooperazione Internazionale, un percorso interdisciplinare che unisce sociologia, antropologia, economia e scienze politiche con uno sguardo preciso sulla sostenibilità. Anche Isabel ha proseguito su questa linea iniziando un percorso universitario di Mediazione Culturale.
Negli anni tra un lavoro e l'altro abbiamo anche avuto la possibilità di stare a contatto con i bambini, sia nelle scuole sia come babysitter sia come animatrici. Possiamo quindi dire di avere acquisito anche la capacità di stare con i bambini che, oltretuttutto, adoriamo. Così come adoriamo tutti gli amici a quattro zampe (e non solo). Isabel in particolare ha fatto due anni di volontariato al canile acquisendo, oltre un grande amore, anche la capacità di gestire gli animali.
Isabel, inoltre, ha studiato reiki e yoga, di cui è molto appassionata, skills che le piacerebbe sfruttare anche in un'ottica di condivisione!

We love dancing, music, people, community life and sharing moments and games.
We are both fans of board games, card games and any kind of game you can play together!
Besides dancing, a hobby that we share is trekking. Coming from a mountainous region of Italy we have developed a deep love with the mountains, walking, climbing and all sports related to it.
