Description
Hi! I'm Job, 24 years old, from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
I'm currently studying journalism and plan to travel through Peru in July and August. During my gap years I did lots of Workaways — mostly in dog shelters in places like Portugal, Greece, Costa Rica, and Bonaire. I loved it.
Now, with a few more years of study ahead, I’m using the summer to do what I love most: travel with purpose. I’d love to volunteer again — preferably somewhere helping animals, kids, or local communities, while also improving my Spanish.
Last year I did a Spanish minor while living in Madrid, so my level is decent: I understand more than I speak, but I’d love to stay somewhere where I will be forced to use the language.
On the 9th of June I fly to Peru to travel around for two weeks, and volunteer in one place for about five weeks. I’m open to ideas and flexible with locations, as long as it’s meaningful and fun.
Also, traveling with someone can be nice, so if you're heading to Peru or thinking about volunteering there; hit me up.

I can speak Dutch and English fluently, my Spanish is getting better and better. I can cook, and make videos. I'm a quick learner. I have some knowledge about chemistry if that's any help. I have also worked in a nursery for three years so I know what it's like to do work in a garden. Basically, anything that has something to do with journalism, like editing, writing, social media.

What else ...
I did some wakeboarding in the past and I have experience with animals like dogs and turtles. I volunteered in Indonesia a few months ago where I helped on a turtle conservation project and helped build a kindergarten. I volunteered at animal shelters that took in dogs and cats but I worked mainly with the dogs.
I love nature, hiking, being, outdoors, and exploring new areas
