Hey there, here is Giuseppe, but everyone calls me Josse
I'm an art enthusiast, and painter, over the years, art and traveling have become an essential part of my life. Every day, I feel grateful for the people and places that art has brought into my journey.

I was born in Italy, where I studied painting and visual arts. I'm passionate about pottery and everything handmade. In recent years, I have worked as a visual facilitator for children and young adults, developing projects related to writing and biographical research—since books and poetry are among my greatest passions.

I love spending time discussing ideas or creating things together as a way to explore and learn. I'm fascinated by stories, narration, both small and big cities, and I enjoy cooking—especially for others—while also discovering the stories behind different foods.

Currently, I'm volunteering in Germany on an art project, and in the future, I would love to explore France.

I love to teach Italian, and to explain methapores, expressions, and to write in italian, i love italian literature, specially literature produced in the second part of the 20th century, I'm learning French, and hope one day to be able to write it correctly and read it fluently, since many of the things I have studied have been written originally in french I like English, I don't know how much the English leanguage appreciate me, but is a leanguage I use often, and I enjoy speaking English, reading it, or praticing it during leanguage tandem

I love walking,'professional' flaneur here, and sometime I get lost, or loosing time while walking, and discovering things in the beetween, did I say that I love discovering?!?!?
In past I had been serial collector of books, specially art catalogue of contemporary art, collecting less since I live abroad, but having my collection in Tuscany, and would never separate from it.
Breakfast is one of my favourite moment of the days, even with a little walk and some notes writing if I have the time,
I'm also passionate about anthropology, folk art, and food anthropology, and etnomusicology,specially about Naples 1600/700 music

C'était ma première expérience workaway au centre d'art Piegon, Claude et Sheela sont deux personnes au cœur ouvert, j'ai beaucoup appris en les aidant, en observant comment ils entretiennent ce lieu enchanteur, et le travail artistique de Jean Pierre, pendant mon séjour, nous avons reçu la visite de leurs amis, souvent des artistes, de qui j'ai… read more beaucoup appris, et j'ai eu l'occasion de pratiquer mon français, il y a eu de longues conversations à table, sur les sujets les plus variés de l'art à la culture en passant par la gastronomie, j'ai appris une infinité d'astuces en cuisinant avec Claude, sur la cuisine provençale et française, et aussi sur les cuisines d'autres parties du monde, Claude pratique la cuisine comme un art à tous égards, avec ses significations et ses valeurs d'être ensemble à table, avec amour envers les plats qu'elle prépare pour ses invités, je ne peux pas oublier de la remercier également pour les nombreux cours de français et le vocabulaire français, et les explications, qui m'ont donné la fluidité de le parler, nos longs déjeuners, dîners, apéritifs, toujours différents et stimulants, et le paysage de la Drôme provençale, que j'ai visité, me manqueront J'ai passé plusieurs séjours avec eux.
Je remercie également Sheela, qui m'a beaucoup appris, pour son respect et sa curiosité envers mon travail artistique. Elle m'a recommandé des livres et m'a fait découvrir leur riche bibliothèque. J'ai également passé un bel après-midi d'impression artistique avec Claude et leur ami peintre Joël, ainsi que les moments de préparation avant le festival. Mes souvenirs de ce séjour et de ce lieu sont nombreux et difficiles à résumer. Je ne peux qu'ajouter que ce fut une période très enrichissante à tous points de vue, ma première rencontre avec la culture française, même si c'était dans un contexte heureusement multiculturel, et que je n'oublierai jamais, et j'éprouve une profonde gratitude envers eux. Je remercie encore Claude et Sheela pour leur accueil. J'espère te revoir bientôt.

It was my first workaway experience at the Piegon art center, Claude and Sheela are two open-hearted people, I learned a lot by helping them, observing how they maintain this enchanting place, and the artistic work of Jean Pierre, during my stay, we received visits from their friends, often artists, from whom I learned a lot, and I had the opportunity to practice my French, there were long conversations at the table, on the most varied topics from art to culture to gastronomy, I learned an infinity of tricks by cooking with Claude, on Provençal and French cuisine, and also on cuisines from other parts of the world, Claude practices cooking as an art in all respects, with its meanings and values of being together at the table, with love towards the dishes she prepares for her guests, I cannot forget to thank her also for the many French lessons and the French vocabulary, and the explanations, which gave me the fluency to I will miss talking, our long lunches, dinners, and aperitifs, always different and stimulating, and the landscape of Drôme Provençale, which I visited. I spent several stays with them.
I also thank Sheela, who taught me a lot, for her respect and curiosity about my artistic work. She recommended books and introduced me to their extensive library. I also spent a wonderful afternoon of artistic printing with Claude and their painter friend Joël, as well as the preparation time before the festival. My memories of this stay and this place are numerous and difficult to summarize. I can only add that it was a very enriching time in every way, my first encounter with French culture, even if it was in a fortunately multicultural context, and one that I will never forget, and I feel deeply grateful to them. I thank Claude and Sheela again for their welcome. I hope to see you again soon.
