I'm Julia, I'm from tropical Cairns, Australia.
I'm a qualified teacher, specialising in Early Childhood. Working with children is my passion in life and it brings me a lot of joy.
I'm also passionate about sustainability and would love to assist in any projects which support a greener future. Currently I live in a beautiful share house with huge gardens, 3 dogs and 10 chickens. We aim to live in a way that produces as little waste as possible and this is something that's really important to me, so I would like to continue this on my journeys. We grow a lot of tropical fruit and vegetables, make our own compost and enjoy being in our garden. I would love to learn more about permaculture and regenerative agriculture and build my skills further.
I also love spending time outdoors, especially hiking. In my spare time you'll find me doing aerial silks, exploring the many beautiful creeks in my area and reading. Travelling is an important part of my life and I have loved using workaway as a platform to connect with open-minded, friendly people during my travels.

I have had a customer service job for 6 years and spent a lot of time assisting people. I am comfortable in positions which require me to work directly with customers and enjoy helping people in any way I can. I can cook,clean and am happy to care for children. I enjoy being outside and am able to help with gardens. I have completed my Bachelor of Education and have other qualifications in the early childhood industry. I also teach beginner to intermediate aerial silks and am happy to share skills with anyone who is interested in this. I'm a fast learner and enjoy completing tasks to the best of my ability.
