I am currently on a journey of decentering my career and starting the process of moving outside of the United States. Traveling and learning about other cultures, everyday life of others, and history is what motivates me each day. Often times I can be found dancing with my friends at various clubs in whatever city I am currently residing (currently I live in Denver, Colorado but I do not permanently live anywhere). I also love costumes! I am learning how to paper mache and make masks. It is my goal to make vintage style masks, preferably scary ones!

More details about your skills
In the states I have been a traveling registered respiratory therapist for the last five years. In the EU this is a position that does not exist because my job tasks are covered usually by physicians. I am a practitioner/expert in cardio-pulmonary medicine (heart and lungs :) ), specifically for children. Therefore, I work bedside in a hospital in intensive care and emergency department settings. By default I am basic life support, adult advanced life support, neonatal resuscitation, and pediatric advanced life support trained. Working with children I am an expert and very experienced at.
Before working in medicine I worked in the service industry as a craft cocktailer. I have a strong ability to work in a team and be a leader. Between these two roles I have excellent time management skills and an ability to multitask.
In addition to these two roles I have had in my adult life, my former degree is in communications in media art. I have an extensive background in graphic design, design as a concept, color theory, and photography. Although I currently practice science, my background is very much in the creative world.
I am a fast learner, task oriented, and enjoy working with other people (certainly not someone to work solo) . I thrive in a social environment and I have spent a lot of my free time networking and volunteering as a means to help my community and stay connected.
I believe also as a solo traveler I am also a problem solver. So far I have traveled parts of Europe, South East Asia, South Korea, Japan, the Caribbean, and central America alone and navigated cities without much outside insight. I think solo traveling comes natural to me.
I have an extensive knowledge about nutrition and health. Of course due to my job and studies I know a lot about the human body! Unfortunately, in the states nutrition is not highlighted in that education or in medical school. I have taken it upon myself to learn extensively about nutrition and natural wellness. I also take these skills to my kitchen and am a very good cook as well! I would be very interested in using these skills in a workaway experience.Age

What else ...
I feel like my list of interests and hobbies are endless! I think there is no ceiling on how much we can learn about each other and this world. I enjoy community care and being connected to the people around me. I like to be extroverted and make friends wherever I land. I hike, I bike, I do yoga and pilates, I surf whenever I can. I swim and grew up in a mountain town so outdoorsy activities are in my DNA. I love making costumes and putting a look together. I am an excellent cook and love to share my food with my friends and loved ones. I am interested in learning more about gardening and communal living as that is the dream life to me. I would love to gain some carpentry and building skills.
