Hi, my name is Luke. I'm from West Cork, Ireland, but I've been living in Dublin for the past five years. I recently completed my studies in Film and Television and have been working as a freelance video editor for the past year. I've decided to take a gap year to travel and open myself up to new experiences.

I'm eager to step outside my comfort zone, expand my skill set, and meet like-minded people. Growing up in the countryside, I've always appreciated being surrounded by nature. I'm a hard worker who's happy to take on any task that needs to be done. In my spare time, I love staying active by going for hikes and walks, and I want to spend as much time outdoors as possible this year.

This year, I’m looking to take a step back from the fast pace of city life. I love socializing and working with people, but I also value my solitary time. I'm really interested in being part of a community—both contributing and learning from others. I've always been drawn to sustainable and eco-friendly living, and I want to use this year to learn more about it.

I'm open to any type of work, but I’m particularly interested in learning more about eco-farming, sustainable living, working with animals, gardening, and any active outdoor jobs.

I have solid tech and video creation skills from my media course. However, I’m not particularly looking to use these during my Workaway, as I’m trying to take a break from this type of work.

Having grown up in the countryside and around farms all my life, I have a basic understanding of the type of work involved.

I'm a hard worker, and I'm eager to expand my skills in self-sustaining and eco-friendly living, as well as DIY construction.
