Description
I'm an environmentalist and artist from Tasmania, Australia. When I'm not working in environmental management, I spend oodles of time on my art profession, making everything from functional ceramic wares to whimsy sculptures. My work is focused on the interdependent relationship between people and nature. I'm looking to travel in the European region in 2025, to further my ceramic practice.
I'm also very keen to build knowledge and skills in eco-building, as I believe this is the best solution for my future. Having studied some permaculture design, and been through Steiner schooling, my values are deeply rooted in sustainability and wholistic living.

What else ...
A few more things about me!

- I love dogs, particularly German short-haired pointers. We have one at home and he's my absolute favourite.
- I enjoy learning new skills, and I'm ready to take on most things. I've been trying to build myself a studio on wheels, something like a "tiny home" for the past year or so. I've learnt a lot about construction that I never expected to enjoy but I really do.
- Aside from my ceramics, I love practicing a wide range of art mediums. Recently I've been experimenting with acrylic inks on fabric. I also enjoy water colour, oils and acrylics. I'm keen on painting natural scenes as as well as portraiture.
- I'm interested to learn traditional crafts, such as spinning, weaving, tanning, and clothes making.

My stay with Andrea was fantastic! She is such a kind and generous host. We spent time in the bottle and cob building, doing lots of lime washing.
