  • Description

    Hi,
    Marc here 🖐,

Dog trainer, and have worked in animal rescue sanctuaries around the world. Currently help out 2 days per week at a local rescue with ponies, sheep, pigs, goats, geese and cockerals. Feeding, grooming, and helping with building work. Recently built a goat platform, midden, and part of the new hedgehog and badger rescue building.
My past 2 workaway positions were working at dog shelters.
Previous position in Greece. Before that a shelter in Thailand with 500+ dogs, and 30+ cats, including many disabled dogs.
With both roles I was offered a permanent position to help run the shelters. As the lead volunteer I managed all daily jobs including feeding, cleaning, designating and medicating.
On an evening I also organised many fun games for the group to play.
I am not afraid to get stuck in and get my hands dirty. I did many of the DIY jobs at both shelters including fixing fences, concreting, and building dog kennels.
I have a love for working with all animals, but have an affinity towards dogs. I am organised, pro active, and confident in my ability.
I try to live a simple minimalist life with basic needs.
Also recently came back from (attempting to) walk across Europe for charity, where I lived in a tent and cooked on a little burner, so have lived with basic amenities.
Over the last few years my life has become about kindness and looking after nature and this beautiful planet.
I like to chat and see new cultures.
I love seeing amazing new places and experiencing new things. Sharing experiences with people.
I am an adventurous person who pushes themselves out of their comfort zone and tries to keep learning. Most years I try to complete 12 new challengers of things i've never done before, such as -
Snowboarding, surfing, swimming with sharks, scuba diving, abseiling, walking on hot coals, walking on glass, making unique items to sell.
    My interests are:
Animal rescue, growth, mindfulness, writing, travel, sport, movies, comedy, people, new experiences, tattoos, creativity, different culture and music.
I have been travelling for the past 5 years on and off, and are now looking for a more permanent base where I can make a difference.
