  • Description

EN: Birdwatching, drawing and wandering around with a nature journal are my favorite occupations, as well as reading and music. As a living I teach photography in an Art school in Spain although my great interests are birds and scientific illustration (I have undertaken several courses on the subject in Spain and Portugal). I also love watercolour and sketching in nature and while travelling. I also can bookbinding and I make my own journals. At the moment I am enjoying a sabatic year and for me it’s the real time to find places to go and do something different.
I consider myself enthusiastic, motivated, easygoing and good worker. I am a quiet person and enjoy solitude as well as good company for I enjoy knowing new people, cultures and places. I love animals and anything related to nature. I have experience in volunteering for the RSPB (engaged with visitors to a bird sanctuary and showing the lighthouse and the nesting birds in the cliffs) National Trust (big gardening in a state, building works in a cotagge) in Great Britain, SEO/Birdlife in Spain (recount programs), and belong to NGO such as Greenpeace, WWF and Médicos sin fronteras.
I love travelling also by bike (I have cycled through Norway, France, Germany, England and Wales).
I am flexi vegetarian, depending on the circumstance. I practice yoga, swimming, horse riding and from time to time rowing. I am used to hike in the mountains, sleep outdoors and I also can ski (although not any more due to ecological concern). I like pets and in the past I have helped in a home for abandoned dogs (where I got my old dog years ago but don’t have any now).
I have diverse skills I could offer, I like teaching and share my interests with others, I have facility for languages. I enjoy children, playing with them and teach them to draw being observant and looking around (I also enjoy doing this with adults, specially in nature). I’m also involved in bird songs and calls, paying attention, recording and learning from it.

  • More details about your skills

My main skills are drawing, photography, bookbinding, art in general, teaching, dealing with tourists, serve in a bar, birding, a bit of horse riding (I have ridden many times but not assiduously) and some rowing.
I work as a teacher in an Art School (students over 18) and before worked in high school. I have a university degree in Fine Arts and doctorate in Arts.
I take part in Several NGO like Greenpeace, SEOBirdlife, a local charity for the protection of animals, Adena/WWF and "Medicos sin fronteras".
I have traveled Great Britain, Ireland, Germany, Oslo, Helsinky, Holland, south of France, Istambul, Morocco, USA, Japan, Brasil, Vietnam, Cambodia and some others. Every summer I try to make a one month journey abroad or in Spain.
I am in good health and fit for work. I can very good work with tourists. In Ireland’ as a volunteer, I had to show visitors around in a bird sanctuary, make them enjoy the visit and learn about the birds nesting in the Cliffs. I think I'm quite good at that. When in the National Trust (GB), we did big gardening tasks in the huge properties, cleared some species to let heather grow, shared a bunkhouse with 12 people and had a good time learning about nature conservancy.
I began as a teenager to take part in stork survey in my area and by now I am a keen birder. I also love nature journaling which I do in my selfmade books. Always with the binoculars and watercolors by me. I can cook vegetarian and I’m good with children.
