Hi, my name is Marie. I'm a 25 year old from Belgium who likes to explore different countries but more importantly, different cultures. I figuered out I wanted to explore the world just before covid. At the time I was still in school and wanted to do an internship abroad. Unfortunately due to covid the internship did not happen but my dreams were still there. And so it happened that after my studies and after covid I started looking for challenges abroad. I did some grape picking in France and loved it. That was the first time I was away from home alone. After that I wanted to explore the world even more and so I moved to Guatemala for one year to volunteer as an occupational therapist in a rehability center. I can't even describe how amazing that was. I learned a lot about myself and how I wanted to see the world.

Now I'm back in Belgium. I like to learn new things and skills. I love to talk with different people to know how they think and what they love about this beautiful world. I'm a social person and like to spend my time with my friends and family. But at times I can also enjoy beeing alone and have some peace and quiet. At the moment I don't do much sports but I would like to be more active, especially outdoors. I like music too, listening to music but also playing music.

I'm a happy, kind and open person who likes to explore cultures and countries. My friends would also descirbe me as a little crazy, adventurous and sponaneous. I don't have much of a plan on my travels (I'm not the best planner :) ). I like to take things as they come. In my workaway experience I hope to learn more about the world and it's nature, people and foods in a peacefull envieronment with lots of love around me. Hopefully we can learn a lot about each other.
