Hi there! 😊

I’m Mélina, I’m French and I’ve been traveling for a few years now. I spent 2 years living in Canada and 6 months backpacking solo in Asia. I love discovering new places, meeting people, and learning something new every day.

I’m a caring and open-minded person. I love simple things: chatting, cooking, listening to music, spending time outside, dancing, doing yoga or just reading a good book. I’m always curious and happy to help out where I can.

Right now, I work for a non-profit that supports women and gender minority musicians in developing their careers — a job I truly love. But I’ve decided to take a few months off to travel differently, meet new people, and do something meaningful with my time.

I already had a wonderful Workaway experience in Canada, where I spent a month working on a ranch — it was intense, full of surprises, and left me with amazing memories. That’s what made me want to do it again!

I have experience in event planning and communication thanks to my work, but I’m also very happy to get involved in all kinds of tasks — cooking, gardening, taking care of animals or helping with creative or manual projects. I love learning by doing and being part of a team.

Oh, and I learned Italian at school — I’ve forgotten a lot, but I’d love to bring it back by practicing with native speakers !

I’m hardworking, organized, and motivated to give my time to a project that really matches my values !

I don’t have tons of formal experience in farming, but I learn fast and I’m pretty resourceful.

I spent a month living and working on a ranch in Canada, where I mostly took care of animals — goats, chickens, and especially horses. I fed them, cleaned the stables, and handled all the little daily tasks. That experience gave me a big boost of confidence in adapting to new situations and challenges.

I also love cooking for others — nothing fancy, just simple and tasty meals that bring people together around the table.

On top of that, I’ve got six years of experience managing and working with teams, looking after artists and partners, and juggling all kinds of tasks. It’s taught me skills that come in handy in everyday life and work.

I’m someone who brings good energy, and I appreciate being part of a group while also respecting everyone’s space and rhythm.
