Hi, I'm Giulia!
I'm an Italian 27-years-old and from June '24 I have taken a pause from my regular life to travel, explore and learn through workaway!
I have a degree in Gender Studies and I was working in a museum, but, since I was getting a bit tired of my routine, I decided to take some time just to travel around and I've been really enjoying it so far! With workaway, I love to make myself useful by helping people pratice English or Italian, if they want to learn it, and be helpful in the care of the house where I am hosted in any way possible, and I don't despise physical work!
My interests and hobbies are mainly reading, listening to podcasts (radio and podcasts interest me a lot!), travelling, deep talks about culture and history, listening to other people's experiences! I also enjoy working with cultivations, gardening, animals and construction (although I still have a lot to learn)!
I would really love to learn new skills as well as learn about cultures different from mine and teach something about Italy as well!
I am currently studying to get a TEFL, to become a professional English teacher!
Throughout my life, I had the chance to do different jobs and live in different cities, and I hope workaway helps me in this journey!
I believe that I am a hardworker, respectful and easygoing person, looking forward to meeting new people and new lifestyles, learning new life skills and seeing new places!Interests

More details about your skills
I am very patient, hardworking and I speak different languages.
In the last years, I have been working in a museum (at the ticket shop and as a guard), I picked grapes in France and I was a waitress in two different places for three years while I was still studying - this gave me the chance to try the working experience and develop skills such as being responsible, patience, language development, organising, cleaning, helping tourists and not being scared of physical work! In the past, I also attended a lot of language courses in the UK (I've been to Edinburgh, Norwich, Brighton and Worthing, 2 weeks each time), living with hosts-families, so I'm used to this kind of arrangement, shared with people. I have also been sharing flat with flatmates during the last 7 years while I was at university, so no problem sharing spaces!
I had 3 workaways this April 2024 in FInland, Sweden and Norway and they were all about gardening, painting and more (putting down wooden floor, feeding animals, cooking)! I had some workaway experiences in Ireland and Turkey so far!
I am fluent in English and Spanish (and of course Italian)!Age
27

The work she needed to be done at her place was quite simple, and it mainly concerned tidying up, cleaning and reorganizing, and cooking. Her house is in the heart of Irish nature, with many different touristic attractions nearby. Brida often took the time to bring me around with her car to show me around… read more

It was very last minute and I only stayed at their place for 6 days, but I couldn't have asked for more: since the very beginning, they were extremely welcoming, kind, sociable and trustful! Their place is simply beautiful - probably at its best in the summertime-, surrounded by nature and very close to a… read more

She was very quick at understanding what we needed from her and completed all tasks given to our satisfaction.
She got on with the doggies and walked them twice a day ,they send her their best woofs.
