Hey, I’m Néel, an 18-year-old from Bretagne, France. I’m in my first year of a degree in economics and management.

I’d like to study in Spain for my third year, which is one of the reasons I want to work there this summer!

I love reading and learning about a variety of topics, especially geopolitics. I enjoy philosophizing and having deep or lighthearted conversations with anyone.

I’m passionate about sports—I used to do a lot of rhythmic gymnastics, but now I swim, run, and go to the gym.

A former flautist, I still have a deep love for music!

I love visiting new cities, especially for their architecture, and even though I’m not a great photographer, I enjoy photography and videography.

I appreciate both lively, dance-filled nights and quieter evenings, whether at the beach or at home.

Pasé un mes muy bonito con esta familia española tan cálida y acogedora. Desde el primer día me sentí como en casa. Natalia y su marido—con sus dos hijos, Pablo y Sara— me integraron con mucha amabilidad y cariño. Fue mi primera experiencia con Workaway y no podría haber sido mejor.

Tuvimos muchas charlas interesantes, compartimos sobre nuestras… read more culturas y también practicamos un poco de francés. Me encantaban nuestras conversaciones por la noche, siempre con buen ambiente y cosas interesantes que compartir. También aprendí muchísimo sobre la cultura española en el día a día.

Los fines de semana íbamos muchas veces a Málaga, lo cual hacía la experiencia aún más especial. También me gustó mucho la tranquilidad del pueblo y los paseos por los caminos bonitos de la zona, muchas veces acompañada por su perro, que es muy tierno.

Pablo y Sara son niños encantadores, fue un placer pasar tiempo con ellos. Los abuelos tambien eran adorables. Tenía también mi propio espacio, lo que me permitió estudiar tranquila cuando los niños estaban en la escuela.

Solo me quedé un mes porque tenía que volver a estudiar, pero con gusto me habría quedado más tiempo. Una experiencia humana muy bonita que recomiendo al 100 %.

¡Ya les echo de menos! ¡Espero que nos volvamos a ver pronto!

I spent a lovely month with this warm and welcoming Spanish family. From the very first day, I felt at home. Natalia and her husband — along with their two children, Pablo and Sara — welcomed me with so much kindness and care. It was my first Workaway experience, and it couldn’t have been better.

We had many interesting conversations, shared a lot about our cultures, and also practiced some French together. I really enjoyed our evening chats — always with a great atmosphere and meaningful topics. I also learned so much about Spanish culture in everyday life.

On the weekends, we often went to Málaga, which made the experience even more special. I also really appreciated the peaceful life in the village and the walks through the beautiful paths nearby, often accompanied by their sweet dog.

Pablo and Sara are lovely kids, and it was a real pleasure to spend time with them. The grandparents were also absolutely adorable. I had my own space too, which allowed me to study peacefully while the kids were at school.

I only stayed one month because I had to return to my studies, but I would have happily stayed much longer. A truly beautiful human experience that I recommend 100%.

I miss them already! I really hope we’ll see each other again soon!
