Hey,

My name is Neill - nice to meet you :)

Always hate writing these things because I never know what it is people want to read about me, so here it goes! I'm 33, a chef by trade, who is looking for my next adventure. I've lived in a few different countries throughtout my life, and been lucky enought to visit a few more. I've worked mainly within the hospitality/tourism/events sector my entire life, working in schools and hostels as an event planner, held every job in a hotel immagineable, and for the last 4 years, been working as a chef in various different kitchens. So, I guess you could I say I love it, meeting new people from different walks of life - always a chance to learn something new about the world and myself.

I love to cook in my spare time, learning more about it, and cooking for people and trying new dishes and cuisnies. I like to write, hike, do yoga, read, go to the beach, play boardgames, and a litany of other hobbies that elude me for now.

I'm looking for something that catches my interest, mainly. I have certain things I would like to do and learn more about - ideally cooking related, whether that be cooking or learning more about farming animals for food or farming vegetables/fruits etc. - I want to learn a lot more about the food industry, but mainly a farm to table side of things, learning all stages. But I am open to other projects/ventures as I won't know what I like until I try it!

More details about my language interests
I would like to learn Spanish, so if someone is willing to teach me, that would be amazing. Have been doing some lessons with a tutor, as well the apps, but I class myself as a beginner. Can offer English as an exchange, but can also offer cooking lessons if you know English and want to learn a new skill!

I'd consider myself a 'Jack of all trades, master of none!'
I've worked and managed in hostels in a few different countries, where I worked reception, worked housekeeping, did some light maintenance, worked bar, cooked for big groups. I have experience with landscaping, gardening, and I come from a construction background so have some knowledge and skills from that field.
I've studied to Masters level, worked in a few different countires and have always worked in some from of customer service, so I would say interacting and dealing/working with people woud be one of my biggest skills.

What else ...

Am interested in learning another language - and regret not doing it better when I was younger/in school.

Am also working a creative project to follow on from my Masters - I did one in Cultural Sociology - so would be extremely interested in meeting/working with artists, such as writers and/or illustrators.

Am an avid cook, and would love to learn more skills and techniques from all parts of the world!
