Description

Hi, I’m Oskar. I’m originally from Canada and have spent the last several years working as a coffee professional, both in cafés and behind the scenes in roasting, training, and business development.

In 2023, I left the city life behind, sold most of my things, and hit the road in a self-converted minivan. That journey took me through the Pacific Northwest and down to New Mexico, where I had my first Workaway experience on a homestead. There, I gained hands-on experience with permaculture, greenhouse growing, basic electrical and plumbing work, and alternative ways of living.

After that, I completed a Workaway with my partner in Crete, Greece, helping with cob house construction and learning natural building methods. We then spent three months hitchhiking through Albania, volunteering on three different Workaways across the country. Helped with gardening, animal care, guest hosting, and basic building projects. The generosity and resourcefulness of the people I met really deepened my love for simple, intentional living.

Some of my passions include permaculture, herbal medicine, woodworking, yoga, surfing, and coffee. I’m a hard worker, eager to learn, and always up for new challenges. One day, I hope to build something of my own, grounded in nature and community.

I’m excited to keep learning, meet new people, and contribute meaningfully to the projects I join.

I’m an easygoing person who loves meeting new people and sharing stories, but I also really enjoy my own time and space. I feel most at peace by the ocean and absolutely love being near water. Whether it’s a beach day or just a quiet afternoon, you can usually find me somewhere in a hammock with a book, a coffee, or just enjoying the view.
