More details about my language interests
I believe that teaching is a rewarding career path. It’s satisfying to see children progress both academically and on a personal level. Some of these young pupils, coming from different backgrounds, may lack role models. However, during that time period in their lives, they look up to their teachers the most and turn to them for help and guidance. That's why I chose to be a teacher since I believe that it's a noble act to make a positive change in someone's life. As Will Durant says:" to give life a meaning, one must have a purpose larger than self." I opted for teaching English because Languages in general have always been my area of interest since I believe wholeheartedly that they are a crucial means of communication to express ourselves as Homosapiens, bridge our cultural differences and resolve misunderstandings through friendly conversations. I am also willing to learn new languages from my host family or fellow workawayers.

  • More details about your skills

I have been teaching English language to secondary school students (12 to 18-year olds) since 2014. I also have volunteered several times with the international non-profit organization AIESEC before (in South Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Turkey) and Workaway in Indonesia in 2023. I reckon that I have acquired the skills needed to engage foreign students and create a motivating learning environment. I believe that my 10-year professionalism in teaching and my various volunteering experiences will meet the hosts' needs and expectations. I also believe that I WAS BORN TO TEACH, I love to be around youngsters that's why I am passionate about my job and I always try to make the learning process fun and efficient using interactive methods (games, theater, videos, technology, etc.)
