Hi! My name is Rosalie, an 18 year old girl from the Netherlands. I graduated from high school last school year and now I'm taking a gap year to do volunteer work. Instead of only working and earning money during my gap year I have the wish to spent my time as useful as possible (and also fun:)) while volunteering. I really enjoy learning new things and meeting new people and that is why I chose to travel via workaway!

Last month I lived in Sicily and there I stayed with two lovely people who don't speak English so I picked up some Italian myself. Next year I plan to come back and I hope I can speak Italian well by then to be able to communicate with them. I also really enjoy teaching others Dutch or English!

I have had many side jobs. I worked in restaurants, supermarkets and tutored at my old school. What I liked most were the people around me. I am very social and I quickly get along with people. I therefore also find it important to be able to work together while volunteering. As I write this (October 3), I am looking for a new place to volunteer. I just came back from Sicily where I volunteered at a dog rescue shelter for 5 weeks and had a great time.

I love to play sports, I'm on kickboxing and yoga! In my free time, I like to be with friends, play guitar or watch movies. Also, I am a big fan of animals and hope to have them at my next volunteer work project:)
