Hello future hosts!
We are Sam (24) and Solene (21), an adventurous, loving couple from California looking to volunteer and truly experience what it feels like to live around the world! We are both very eager in learning new cultures, meeting new people, and trying new activities as we believe this is among the most important lessons in life. Last year, we were fortunate enough to travel to a few countries like Japan, Indonesia, and Albania to name a few :) We truly believe we work great as a team and are incredibly independent.
Sam---
I am a healthy eating, nature loving, hands on worker that enjoys manual labor and anything mechanical. Growing up on a horse ranch in California, I learned a great amount in animal care and the importance of maintaining and taking care of land. In 2022, I graduated from a motorcycle mechanic trade school in Arizona, USA, and now have an inclined knowledge of anything related to engines and motors. Back home, I enjoy snowboarding, dirt biking, surfing, cliff jumping, and really anything active and outdoors! Lastly, I (and Solene) are smoke free and rarely drink.
Solene---
I am a sourdough baking, sweater knitting, coffee barista from California that loves to eat and cook organically sourced food. Having a health nutritionist as a mom has really taught me the importance of this healthy lifestyle I live. My strongest skills include, organizing, cleaning, baking, babysitting, and gardening all while having a big smile on my face. I also don't mind getting my hands dirty and have used various outdoor equipment. Other things to note would be, I have my TEFL English Teaching Certificate, I absolutely love kids, and I am working towards becoming fluent in Armenian (my family's native language).
