Hi there,
I'm Summer from Australia (could it be more cliché)!
I am a lover of all things outdoors and nature, and spend my days currently working as an environmental scientist in the beautifully underrated city of Perth (Australia's best kept secret).
I work essentially so I have the freedom to travel and meet new people and experience new things. Having done multiple workaways previously, it is without a doubt my favourite way to travel as not only do you get to experience a new culture first hand,but you also meet so many amazing people along the way and learn new skills that are with you for life.

I am planning a trip to Europe this year primarily to learn more about one of my great passions - food, and how cooking intertwines with different cultures. I am, of course open to non-food related oppotunities too! I'll never pass up an oppotunity to learn a new skill!

I am an environmental scientist who spends a lot of her time working outdoors. I know my way around most tools and can help with lots of various outdoor projects from garden tasks (weeding, planting, picking etc.) to simple building tasks and outdoor work e.g painting.

I have a keen love of cooking and can cook many different dishes from a range of cuisines. I have also worked as a nanny and can offer help with children. I additionally have a degree in tourism and tour guiding and have worked many odd jobs over the years, e.g hotels/restaurants.

I am a hard worker and as part of this experience I would love to learn new skills, so I am happy to give just about anything a go.

I love the ocean, whether that be scuba diving, surfing, kite boarding or kayaking.

My main reason for signing up to Workaway is that I want to learn new things and meet people from all over the world. I am excited to learn hobbies that I don't yet know exist and hear stories I can't belive are true! I want to really get a feel for what it is like to live in the smaller communities away from popular tourist attractions. I can't wait to learn your way of life and the things that make your region unique.
