Description
Hello! I am Valérie. I have been traveling for a long time all around the world and since my 3 children are adults, I have taken up my bag for new adventures, alone. I was these last months in Colombia and met a woman who had come for a workaway in a finca, a farm. She told me about her experience and made me want to discover this other way of traveling, immersing myself in the country, meeting families and their way of life, and helping with projects that are close to my heart. Discovering new places, other cultures and have to adapt make me feel fully alive, I like to learn and this is for me the best school. I am happy in nature, with animals, I practice yoga and I dance. I am vegetarian and love cooking and sharing healthy food and good times. I like reading, writing, painting, handicraft... I enjoy the moment, the unknown, and the surprise of each new day.

I really enjoyed watching my 3 children grow up, playing and traveling with them and accompanying them in their creativity and for homework. I love taking care of animals, I have always lived with them and I spent time in farms. I worked in restaurants and bars, I like the service and the welcome. I enjoy cooking. I created a vegetarian restaurant in Marseille and I love to innovate with local seasonal vegetables and fruits. I also founded a yoga association in the south of France and gave private and group sessions. I enjoy nature and like to take care of the garden, I will be very happy to learn more, about permaculture for example. I love reading and I have recorded stories for visually impaired and blind people. I like to work with my hands, and I love learning new things. That is what I really like about the idea of the workaway.
