hey lovely!
My name is Anne, I'm 21 years old and I was born and raised in Germany (Stuttgart).
I'm planning to revisit Ireland this summer. I'm curious to meet new people and experience genuine connection. I want to learn about life and myself through stepping out of my comfort zone and sharing experiences with others. And i love documenting these experiences with my beloved camera!
After graduating from highschool I was eager to travel so i went to Ireland and spent about 6 months there (doing workaway). Eventually I went back to Germany and started studying biology but after half a year I realised it wasn't for me. Ever since I've lived in different places, traveled a bit, generally experiencing and trying to deal with the highs and lows of being a young adult in the 21st century.
I have stayed with several workaway hosts in Ireland and have done a variety of jobs there (dairy-farm work, gardening, general housekeeping, painting, childcare). I'm pretty much happy to help with anything I can. I'm not a nerd about anything so I can't offer specific qualities but rather a good base of experience and common sense in basic jobs. I'm also a quick learner and happy to follow instructions. I also love animals!
I consider myself to be introverted, thoughtful, caring and sensitive. I appreciate silence, alone or in company. I love going for walks in nature, cooking plantbased food, having heart-to-heart conversations or just doing nothing. I like cold weather and don't mind getting wet or dirty when being outside.
What I value most is to live in peace with the natural world and other human beings (not reaching for perfection but simply trying our best everyday). That includes self awareness, honest communication, a sense of humour/lightheartedness and compassion.
I was an atheist all my life but in 2023 I learned more about buddhism and ever since it has had a place in my heart and life. This also led me to staying at a buddhist monastery in England for several weeks last year which was incredibly valuable to me. I try (emphasis on try) to meditate regularly.
Throughout my life I've had several experiences of living both in communities and on my own. I have the self responsibilty to live comfortably in both ways.
I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke. Due to a health condition I try to nourish my body with wholefoods mainly. I'm vegan and I like cooking, especially for others.

More details about your skills
Overall, my strength lies in my love for detail, patience, being organised and doing things wholeheartedly rather than being a very physically strong or fast worker.
I bring stillness and reflection rather than eccentric energy :)
Animals: I grew up with and love animals (cats, dogs, horses, chickens,...) so I generally know how to care for them.
house chores: I like cleaning preparing food
practical work: my family used to have a huge garden so I have experience with chores like picking fruit, mowing the lawn and chopping wood. On top of that I really enjoy building stuff or painting etc.
childcare: I have some experience with babysitting and children in general.
electronic matters: I have experience with photography videography, I especially enjoy editing videos. Being a teenager in the 21st century, I have a general knowledge about electronic devices etc. however I‘m not really into business surrounding social media.Age

What else ...
I consider life to be my teacher. Everyone I meet and every experience I have can be a valuable lesson. And well... I have a lot to learn. If I were to put a label on my main interest in life it would be philosophy. Like, what does it actually mean to be human and live life fully?
