Hello! My name is Carys, and I'm from England, UK. I would describe myself as a warm, bubbly, and easygoing person. What motivates me is my curiosity. I am interested in so many things and find everything fascinating, which I hope makes me a thoughtful conversationalist.

I grew up in a small town near the countryside, and after taking a gap year before university, I caught the travel bug! I have a real passion for travel and after graduating from university, I've spent the last few years either studying, living or backpacking around the world. I did Erasmus in Italy, lived in Spain and backpacked throughout Southeast Asia, the Balkans,a lot of Europe, Tanzania and Morocco. I just love language exchanges, trying new foods, meeting new people and most importantly being outside in nature! I love hiking, skiing, and recently started learning to climb!

I've recently finished a year in Southern Spain working as a language assistant teaching English at a primary school - during this time I obtained my TEFL qualification and started studying Spanish (very basic, so keen to improve!). I am looking to experience something new, whether teaching again in a different country, working in a hostel, or working outside on a more sustainable project.

I am a native English speaker, TEFL qualified with 8 months of experience as a language assistant (southern Spain, primary level) Currently studying Spanish, at A2 level. I am learning past tense conjugation at the moment and super keen to practice!

TEFL Qualified, with 8 months of experience at a Spanish Primary school working as an english language teaching assistant.
BASI Level one Alpine Ski Instructor qualification (worked as a ski instructor), as well as experience leading kids sports camps.
Worked as a waitress and bar tender , kitchen porter, barista through my teenage/university years.
Travel agent/customer care assistant for a travel company in the UK taking on administrative tasks.
Degree in English literature and Film Studies.

In my free time I love to go to the cinema and watch all sorts of weird and wonderful films from different countries! I am also an avid reader and beginner crocheter. But the outdoors is my first love and try to spend as much time outside as I can, hiking, walking and climbing (beginner climber haha)
