Hello! I'm an avid traveler with a passion for exploring the world and learning new languages and skills along the way. In between teaching college English classes for Sailors aboard deployed U.S. Navy ships, I pursue a nomadic lifestyle of independent travel and volunteer work, honing skills that range from the pragmatic to the artistic.
Teaching and writing are my trades, sculpting and storytelling are my passions, and with a variety of experiences in primitive camping and backpacking, canoeing and kayaking, alternative building, and even olive harvesting, I am a hard worker who takes pleasure in a job well done. Life itself is a classroom, and I welcome each opportunity to connect with different people and communities, adapt to new lifestyles, and exchange ideas about "Life, the Universe, and Everything."Interests

What else ...
As a polymer clay sculptor, I've always nurtured an appreciation for natural landscapes of every kind, and my long-term goal is to create a modest, self-sustainable homestead/art studio in order to live simply and develop my writing and polymer clay art on a more permanent basis. Cob projects are of particular interest to me, as the idea of literally sculpting a house resonates with the spirit of the art that I already pursue, and although I am still a DIY beginner, I am physically fit and eager to work on any aspect of building maintenance, gardening, and/or land development.
