Hey there! I'm Charly, 29 years old, from Germany. This is my first time using Workaway in an attempt to travel for a long time, connecting with people in the countries that I visit. I have used (and am still using) other platforms before such as Couchsurfing or WWOOF though and I really love it.
I'm looking forward to learn many new things, be it something specific you'll teach me or just things I'll pick up by sharing time together. In exchange I would love to share or teach the things I know and I'm good at and of course, help you with your project. Since I'm new to this, I don't have any specific interest yet (everything sounds cool!) ; I'll just try and see what I like best - hostel, family, farm stay? We'll see :)
This upcoming trip (Latinoamérica) is a special one for me because it is the result of a couple of changes in my life. The past couple of years I've been traveling mostly in my van around Europe. Going back to "backpacking" feels like going back to my roots and somehow I think that it'll also help me to connect better with the countries I'm visiting.

Update: I adopted a dog along the way, her name is Soare ("sun" in Romanian because.. she's yellow haha), she is very Sweet. You can see her in my Profile picture :)

I have no experience with Workaway yet, only other platforms/ communities such as Couchsurfing and WWOOF.

Years ago, while wwoofing, I helped a lot in the garden (unfortunately I'm not very good at it), cooked vegan food for the eco building workshop participants and helped with the eco building which was a lot of fun.

I'm a German teacher and languages are my passion. I can teach German and help with English, Spanish and a bit of French.
I can be a handy person as well, since I was little my dad would take me to work with him on different construction sites (that way I have experience with many different tools). I'd say that I'm slow unless I'm well instructed, I can be a great helper but I don't think that I have enough confidence to work completely by myself e.g. building a shack or something.
I'm very good at "housekeeping"/ tasks around the house, I know how to cook well (without meat), I'm clean and organised. I'm very good with animals (my family used to have sheep, a cow, chicken etc. and I used to have a cat and a dog) and I also really love children.
