Description
Hi! We are Dante and Jamie from Ottawa, Canada looking to explore more of Canada (and maybe the world) this summer!
Dante has dabbled in just about everything—tour guiding, healthcare, scientific research (in two countries!), and tree planting. If there’s a skill to learn, he’s probably given it a shot. You’ll usually find him cooking up something tasty, gardening, playing instruments, or picking up yet another new hobby.
Jamie, on the other hand, balances science and creativity like a pro. She’s dived into scientific research, and worked in ecology, marketing, and administration. From baking and cooking to knitting and painting, she can turn just about anything into a masterpiece.
All this to say, we’re a dynamic pair with a kick for learning, creating, and exploring—whether that’s through work, art, or whatever new adventure catches our interest next!

Dante - I have a bit of experience in a lot of different areas. I’ve worked as a tour guide and supervisor in university, a receptionist and medical assistant in healthcare, and working with kids as a tutor and camp counselor. I’ve also conducted organic chemistry research in Ottawa and France, worked in a paper mill, and spent time tree planting in Northern British Columbia. Beyond work, I enjoy cooking, gardening, playing guitar, and learning new skills!
Jamie - I also have some experience in various fields. Regarding professional skills, I've worked in administration, social media marketing, retail, ecology, fieldwork, a carbon-dating lab, and scientific research for the canadian government (specifically mapping wildfires using GIS, if you know what that is!). Beyond work, I consider myself to be very creative and have many artistic skills, including baking, cooking, painting, knitting, and more!
We both fish, kayak , hike, bike, swim, canoe, and all other outdoor activities.
