    Hello!
    My name is Declan, I am 28, Irish, and currently working as a cook. I trained and later worked in an Irish cookery school based on an organic farm.

    I love learning, and I want to use Workaway to learn as much as I can.
    In particular at the moment I'm interested in wild foraging, fermentation, winemaking, permaculture and biodynamic farming methods - and anything else that could help me live a life better connected to my environment.

    I'm taking a break from working in kitchens to travel within Europe and visit some friends, and I'm very flexible as to where I go and what I learn. Any new experiences welcome!

    I'm a good cook - skills learned at home, refined at cookery school, and put into practice in work as a chef. It's also a job which requires me to be comfortable with physical work.

    The cookery school I taught at takes a holistic approach to food and as a result I have some experience in fermentation, wild foraging, baking and winemaking.
