Description
Hi, my name is Ella. I'll be in Egypt from January until August, to learn Arabic and explore the country. I have previously spent 3 months workawaying in Tunisia. I volunteered at a bike cafe in the capital, helped out at a trekking festival in the desert and spent a few weeks harvesting olives on a permaculture project. It was a great experience and I'm looking for more of these kinds of adventures while I'm in Egypt. I'm currently a student at university in England, studying middle eastern studies (Arabic and French). I love reading, writing and long bike trips. I am open-minded and enjoy meeting new people and learning from them. I've recently become interested in permaculture and would love to get involved with projects where I can learn more about this, or about other alternatives ways to live more in harmony with nature and each other.

As a languages student, I write a lot of essays and can write and translate well. At school I tutored younger students in maths so I can teach and work with children. I regularly volunteer with a local homelessness charity so I have experience of working with vulnerable people. I'm also a fast learner and am in good physical shape, since I regularly row and play football, so I am up to doing physical tasks. I would be keen to learn more practical skills and especially to learn about permaculture practices.

It was lovely having Ella with us for about two weeks. She was quite independent and easy going with our lack of presence, and helped us in different tasks with interest and a large smile on her face.

I had an amazing time here. I came to the village a few weeks before the festival and stayed for almost a month so I had the opportunity to experience two very different Zammours.
