We’re heading to Mexico in March 2025, then exploring other Latin American countries. Open to projects with people, animals, or nature—we’re excited to explore new opportunities and help where needed!
Description
Hi! ☀️ We are two Italian girls who met while studying in Madrid, and it was our shared passions for exploring the world, learning about new cultures, and stepping out of our comfort zones that brought us so close. These common interests have shaped our friendship and continue to inspire us to seek new adventures together. As politics students we have a strong interest in helping others and contributing to meaningful projects. Whether it's working with people, animals, or nature, we're always eager to lend a hand and make a difference. 🌿
For years, we've dreamed of traveling to Latin America, and now that we just graduated, we're finally ready to make that dream come true! We're enthusiastic, open-minded, and always up for new challenges. If you’re looking for hardworking, friendly volunteers who are passionate about travel and learning, we’d love to be part of your project! 🌎Interests

We are Giorgia and Maria, two friends united by our shared passion for creating positive change. With degrees in Political Science and International Relations, we bring a solid academic foundation and practical skills in areas like sustainable development, international cooperation, and solidarity projects. We’re eager to contribute our knowledge and energy to meaningful initiatives.
About Giorgia 👩🏼
I have always been passionate about learning and sharing knowledge, especially through languages. I’m fluent in Italian, English, Spanish, and French, and I’m currently learning Portuguese to expand my ability to connect across cultures. Teaching languages is something I deeply enjoy, as it allows me to share knowledge and empower others.
Beyond my love for languages, I enjoy climbing, playing the guitar, writing, and experimenting with music production. I also have a passion for street art, where I use spray paint to create vibrant and expressive works. Cooking is another joy of mine, especially when it involves bringing people together and celebrating community through food.
My work experience reflects my diverse interests and strong interpersonal skills. I’ve taught French to children, worked as a translator, supported students with disabilities, and organized events. I’ve also been a pet sitter, caring for dogs and rabbits, which ties into my deep love for animals. Projects that involve animal welfare or nature conservation resonate strongly with me.
For my thesis, I explored gender inequality and gender-based violence, which further fueled my commitment to feminist causes and community-driven initiatives. My empathy, problem-solving abilities, and active listening skills help me connect with people and adapt to different situations, whether working individually or in a team.
About Maria 👩🏻
I am passionate about exploring new ideas, building connections, and expressing creativity. I’m fluent in Italian, English, Spanish, and German, and I thrive in intercultural settings where I use language to bridge gaps and foster understanding. Art is one of the way I love to connect with others, whether through photography, poetry, theater, or video editing. These artistic pursuits allow me to delve into emotions, capture meaningful moments, and share diverse perspectives.
I’ve been actively involved in social and humanitarian causes, including environmental activism, feminism, and refugee support. My experiences include working with homeless individuals, volunteering in shelters, and teaching Italian to refugees. These opportunities have shown me the strength of collaboration and the transformative power of human connection.
In addition to my humanitarian work, I’ve worked in summer schools with children, worked at festivals, and participated in community development projects. I have a deep love for nature and enjoy spending time hiking, exploring the outdoors, and contributing to sustainability efforts. Whether caring for plants, supporting environmental initiatives, or simply discovering new trails, I feel a profound connection to the natural world. I am also deeply empathetic, with a strong spirit of initiative and active listening skills, which enable me to connect with others, support teamwork, and approach challenges with care and determination.
About us 👩🏼🤝👩🏻🌎
Together, we are enthusiastic about contributing to projects that reflect our passions for humanitarian work, animal welfare, nature conservation, international cooperation, teaching, and the arts. We’ve also developed a deep appreciation for adventure through our travels. Hitchhiking across different regions has taught us adaptability, resourcefulness, and the ability to solve problems on the go, all while embracing the beauty of the unknown.
We’re eager to collaborate with international teams and connect with diverse cultures. Traveling is one of our greatest interests, and we’re particularly excited to explore Latin America. Immersing ourselves in new environments, learning about different cultures with respect and curiosity, and growing through these experiences are key motivations for us.
Thanks to our linguistic skills, academic backgrounds, and diverse experiences, we are well-equipped to work on projects involving mediation, education, sustainability, and intercultural exchange. Whether working independently or as part of a team, we bring adaptability, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm to every challenge.
We can’t wait to embrace new opportunities, connect with inspiring people, and contribute to meaningful causes wherever our journey takes us next!Age
