Joanna loves languages! In fact, she majored in linguistics in college (linguistics is the study of language). She would love to practice the non-English languages she listed. Noah also likes languages (though is less experienced than Joanna). He studied German in high school and university. He'd love to get immersive practice in that or another langauge wherever we travel!

We've both had a variety of jobs and are able/eager to acquire new skills!
Joanna did several workaways last year (see photos), including helping adults with English, working with kids, construction work, and garden work.
We both have tutored since high school, ages 6-40 in STEM; Joanna has also tutored English and linguistics.
Joanna is an adroit cook and Noah relishes cleaning.
Growing up, Noah worked odd jobs for parents and neighbours. He helped his dad repair a school-bus-made-camper, home irrigation system, and swamp cooler; put a window through the kitchen wall; repaint cabinets. He also got to run audio and lighting for his dad's rock band. While neighbours were away, he tended to their properties and animals, and gathered and chopped firewood. He helped his mom manage an estate sale, from cleaning house to managing inventory and bookkeeping for the estate.
Joanna spends her summers working at her family's avocado farm, mulching the trees, picking avocados, and weeding. She also takes care of animals (chickens, horses, goats, sheep, llamas, donkeys, guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs, cats), and helps with various small-scale garden jobs (planting seeds, weeding, putting up fencing, harvesting crops).
Neither of us are above getting dirty :) Joanna has worked on campus cleaning bathrooms and Noah has cleaned out old houses.

What else ...
We love making (and drinking :) tea!! Joanna particularly enjoys single-source Chinese and Taiwanese loose-leaf tea. We're also big fans of board/card games and reading fiction.
